We were expecting Yaya Rose, our 16-year old house keeper and baby sitter, to arrive early last Monday since she promised to leave Campo 7, her hometown, by 7 A.M.
At past 8 A.M., I received an SMS from her informing me that she was already in Tabunok when she suddenly felt dizzy. I adviced her to take an anti-vertigo drug and drink plenty of water.
A few minutes later, she told me that her brother took her home because she was really not feeling well and could not work.
We were lucky and very happy that my mother had no other commitments for the day.
Thus, she was able to come to Aldea and baby sit.
The next day, we expected Yaya Rose to come for work because we think that vertigo is not that bad.
To our dismay, we received an SMS from her brother telling us that Yaya Rose is having a fever and will not be back for work until Sunday.
What? A week off?
My mom has other commitments!
What are we going to do with Zyle?
Is she oblivious that her employers are still employed?
How come she knows that she’ll only be physically fit on Sunday?
Tsk tsk tsk!
This is a bad joke!
We tried to negotiate with Yaya Rose but the next intriguing news pissed us both.
Her brother took her cellphone with him and will not be seeing Yaya Rose until Saturday.
This means that our message will not be conveyed to her not until Saturday!
We firmly believe that the sickness is just an alibi.
This already happened to us before.
And now, this left us with no other choice but to agree with my Mom’s suggestion—to bring Zyle with her to Lutopan, my hometown.
Oust Yaya Rose!
But who shall take her place?
